The first Cessna 182s, 205s, and 210s were equipped with Hartzell propellers. Turboprop powered Cessna 208 Caravans and, 425 and 441 Conquests were all introduced with Hartzell propellers as standard equipment. More recently, the new diesel powered 182JT-A and 867 hp, High Gross Weight 208B Caravan EX have been introduced to the world with new Hartzell 3-blade propellers all proudly displaying the Hartzell “Built on Honor” logo. Hartzell’s Top Prop program continues this long tradition by offering 2-, 3-, and 4-blade conversions featuring the latest in blended airfoil scimitar technology for most single engine Cessnas, 2- or 3-blade Top Prop conversions for all Cessna 310s, and a low noise 4-blade option for the Honeywell powered Cessna 441 Conquest. Boxit Suite Software there. I had a similar problem with my O320 160 hp. It was rough between 2300-2400, with roughest spot at 2350, exactly where I wanted to run it for most of my cross country trips with my cruise prop. New engine mounts helped a little.

Dynamic balance helped a little more, but I was never happy with it. When I overhauled it 2 years ago, one of the camshaft lobes was badly rounded off. It's smooth as a sewing machine now at all rpms. A friend just overhauled his 0320 and found the same thing -- a badly rounded off camshaft lobe. It fixed his vibration too. Situs Porno Yang Bisa Dibuka Tanpa Format. RF. Steve, there are six bolts that hold the prop on. Each position change is 60 degrees per blade or 120 degrees per position change of a two bladed prop.

The engine has four cylinders so the pistons are at TDC and BDC at 90 degree increments of the prop flange. If the prop is not mounted on the flange in the correct position in relation to the TDC and BDC of the pistons you will get a lot of viberation. On an O-360 the prop is mounted, lined up on the '0' mark on the prop flange. An O-320 it is one position counter clockwise of the '0' mark. This puts them both in the 10:00 O clock / 4:00 O clock position as viewed from the front of the plane when the engine stops. After reading these post I was wondering if that was the cause of the roughness in our cub.

After reading what Steve posted about prop position I knew that was how ours was. It would stop at the 12:00 position.

I pulled it off and looked for the 0 mark on the prop flange and could not find one. There was a TC mark inked onto the prop flange. Dad and I figured the '0' mark Crash spoke of was zero degrees or the same as TC(top dead center). The confusing thing was that at TDC on number one cylinder the TC mark on the prop flange was at the 9:00 position looking at the front of the plane. We thought the TC mark would fall on the case halves either at the top or the bottom. Anyway, we rotated the prop one position counterclockwise of TDC and it seemed to do the trick.
