I can recover the EDB file separately no problem and copy it to a spare drive, but when it comes to Granular Recovery, its been 3 hours and it still on step 2. I did a search, and a few people have had the same issue. It involves having the backup on a NAS and a large database file.:/ Anyhow, since then I have cancelled the Granular restore option, and will just recover the EDB file separately to a spare drive.

Thanks to everyon that chimed in on this discussion:). Sorry but where does it say you need to upload company data to convert the.edb to the.pst file using edbmails? If this is really so, i would rather not use it of course but i imagine it a bit lenghier than just a few hours to upload a 250gb edb file for example.:) I have the same scenario here, old edb file that i need some mailbox from, don't wanna go through the lengthy process of RSG mounting etc. Or spend insane money for a third party tool. I have downloaded but not tested edbmails so if there are more experiences to be shared i would be happy to hear them.
